Imaging Fiber Array
Fiber imaging employs an array of optical fibers, bundled together in a coherent fashion, to transmit light from one end to the other. High-density 2D fiber arrays and assemblies delivering precise alignment and exceptional performance for optical communication, imaging, and advanced photonics applications. This technique is instrumental in applications where conventional imaging methods are impractical due to space. This article introduces a coded imaging lidar system based on a fiber array, which utilizes spatial encoding and decoding with fewer detectors to achieve high-resolution imaging and applies a wavelet de-noising algorithm to improve performance under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions.
