Distribution box wires are hot
This is not a normal operating temperature, and excessive heat is a serious indicator of an internal fault that could lead to component damage or an electrical fire. A breaker box is designed to safely manage the passage of electricity, meaning that any noticeable warmth or heat emanating from the panel is an abnormal condition. But when things go wrong, box overheating can be both dangerous and costly. XLPE insulated wires can withstand higher temperatures, up to 90°C according to TCVN 5935 (IEC 60502-1). Immediately contact a licensed emergency electrician — don't wait. Warm or Hot Breaker Panel Surface Panels should never feel hot to the touch. Warmth usually means there's too much current flowing through the system. Wiring reading as hot when breaker is tripped and switch is on. I know the basics but definitely prefer to turn to the real pros when there's something I don't understand (like this). -
